F-Tag operates similarly to its Apple counterpart. Once paired with an Apple device using the "Find My" app, the locator uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology for constant connection. When F-Tag is out of Bluetooth range, it uses other nearby Apple devices to transmit its location to iCloud. This process is entirely anonymous and encrypted, guaranteeing complete user privacy.

This technology is also very energy-efficient, consuming minimal data transfer. F-Tag has a replaceable CR2032 battery, lasting up to 12 months. The "Find My" app makes it easy to monitor the battery status and replace it in advance. The set includes a pin for battery replacement, simplifying the process.
